Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The theater marquis of San Diego's Balboa Theater shines in the Gas Lamp District's night sky. Opened in 1924 as a movie palace, seating 1,600 guests, the U.S. government re-purposed the Balboa during World War II to house naval personnel. Attempts after WWII to retrun the Balboa to its movie house glory days failed, leaving the historic theater shuttered in the 1970s. San Diego city efforts to restore the once elegant theater languished until 2005. Following three years of restoration work, the Balboa reopened in 2008 to host live concerts and theater in downtown San Diego.
